How it works

Here's what you can expect from the beginning. No surprises, no pressure, no "you need to do this thing that costs a lot of money" without earning the right to say it.

1

Reach out

Phone, email, or the form below. Tell me what's going on. No formal intake form required at this stage — just a conversation about your situation and what you're looking for.

2

Initial consultation

We talk. I listen. I ask questions that may be different from what you've been asked before — about patterns, not just symptoms. About what's working, not just what isn't. About who you are, not just what you've been diagnosed with.

3

Assessment & plan

Based on the brief consultation, I'll describe what I think is actually happening and what I'd recommend. This is where mutual fit matters — if I'm not the right person for your situation, I'll tell you, and I'll tell you who might be.

4

The work

Concrete, brain-based interventions. Neurofeedback when indicated. Practical strategies built for your specific type. Regular check-ins to measure progress and adjust. The goal is always the same: move forward.

Common questions

Do you work with children and adults, or just one?
Both. The approach adapts to the person. I've worked with children as young as six and adults in their seventies. The brain can change at any age — that's not a motivational statement, it's neuroscience. But since my sessions are primarily over zoom it is recommended that the age range be from 12 to 75 years old.
Do you do remote sessions?
Some services can be provided remotely — consultation, coaching, and education. Neurofeedback requires in-person sessions, though home device support can supplement clinical sessions for those who can't come in frequently. If you are in CA, or AZ, or PA, or GA, I know several providers that I can refer you to for neurofeedback training.
Do you take insurance?
Please contact me directly to discuss fee structure and insurance questions. I work with families across a range of situations, and I want the conversation to start before cost becomes a barrier. I am a licensed clinician in AZ, CA, OR, and WA only.
How is this different from what we've already tried?
Most approaches address symptoms. I start with what's actually happening in the brain. That changes the treatment, because treating a Tigger the same as an Eeyore is like giving the same prescription to two different diagnoses. The type matters. The specific brain matters.
We've tried everything and nothing has worked. Is there still hope?
Yes. I've been in this work for forty years. I've seen people who had every reason to give up discover that the door was open the whole time — they just hadn't found the right key. I won't promise a specific outcome. But I will tell you that "we've tried everything" rarely means what it sounds like it means. Reach out. Let's find out what we haven't tried yet.
